Cardiff SOLE Pilot 2021
Child Friendly Cardiff has been developing a close relationship with SOLE colleagues in Cleveland, Ohio, USA to begin the development of the introduction of SOLE to schools in Cardiff.
In the Summer of 2021, the pilot project launched and was delivered in partnership with 3 schools in Cardiff, of whom volunteered:
- St Mary’s the Virgin Primary CiW School
- Radnor Primary School
- Ton-Yr-Ywen Primary School
The pilot stage was a huge success and eventually led to the development of the SOLE Network for Wales in collaboration with the International School Linking team within Cardiff Council. This has now led to the full roll out of SOLE with the commencement of introductions and partnerships with additional schools across Wales and beyond.
