Whilst lockdown has restricted a lot of community interaction and events, Child Friendly Cardiff did manage to host a socially distanced fun chalk drawing activity in August, with the support of Wales Millennium Centre. In conjunction with National Play Day 2020, CFC promoted the child’s right to play, with heaps of chalk placed in socially distanced circles, encouraging children to draw, write, and express themselves.
The activity was well thought out given the circumstances, with the WMC kindly allowing us use of their outside space, as well as an abundance of sanitizer! The day drew plenty of inquisitive children and young people with a welcome distraction from the current restrictions.
